Stopped taking Prednisone for few days.
Hey, I just wanted to know what might happen if I stopped taking prednisone for few days and then continue taking it like I am suppose to. The thing is I found out that I have Sarcoidosis so I have to take Prednisone for 3 months and I started out with one and a half(25mg) tablets for a month and then to one tablet for the second month and half for the third month and then stop. Well i've been on it for a month and I just reduced it to one tablet but I stopped taking it for few days cause I wanted to drink. So I drank about two days and about 30 beers and started to take one tablet a day like nothing happened. So what I'm asking is what might happen if I would stop taking it for one day for no reason and just continue taking it the next day like nothings happened. thanks

Prednisone Side Effects
I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy and was given prednisone to reduce inflammation. I was on 120mg for 3 days. Then 80 mg for 3 days. Then 40 mg for 3 days. Then 20 mg for 3 days. Then I was done. I have been off for a week now and within that week I have developed severe acne on my chest, back, neck, face, etc. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I have read acne can be a side effect, but most things I have read have came from people who were on prednisone for years or months.

4 year old patient
I know that everybody has different reactions to drugs, but I have to ask if what my daughter is going through is similar to anyone else's experience. My daughter is 4 years old and has been diagnosed with minimal change nephrotic syndrome. She is currently halfway through a 12 week cycle of prednisone. Of course her face is swollen. We expected that. Her appetite has increased. We expected that. The thing that is concerning to me is that she has seemed kind of down and "mopey" for the past couple of days. She made the comment that she is having trouble putting her shoes on because her belly gets in the way. Could it be that her weight gain is causing her to be depressed? Does a 4 year old even think like that? This medicine seems to have changed her a lot, and I cannot wait until it is over. The dr. said that if a relapse was to occur, then we could treat with a 7 day cycle of prednisone. Does anybody else have any experiences to share about prednisone in a small child?

Prednisone HELPS
I have read alot of reviews here and on other web sites, but all I can say about this drug is...Where have you been...I am taking 5m tabs 12 a day for 5 days and it decreases to 10 for 4 days and 8 for 3 until you're down to one tab. I am taking it for a lower back pain caused by 2 degenterive discs and bone chips. It help straighten me up and eliminated 90% of the pain. My concern is what happens when I have to stop....I love this medication, and it has also cleared my vision where I no longer need cheaters...It works for me
