Oxycodone For Back Pain
I have had moderate to severe back pain for several years now, and have been prescribed meloxicam, vicodin, zanaflex, flexoril, and percocet, just to nam a few. i ignored the pain for several years, but it got to the point where i had to get it checked out. after getting an mri, they discovered several problems with my lower back. degenerative bone disease, slipped discs, arthritis, etc. Most of this is due to the nature of my work, and a couple of motorcycle wrecks. Here is my main question and problem. Out of all of the things that I have been given, I find that oxycodone works the best for me personally, without making me drowsy, or having any other adverse side affects. My doctor was giving me 90 extra strength vicodin per month, with another 90 percocets to use during the extra bad days over a 6 month period. This was in conjunction with a muscle relaxer, too, all of which made me drowsy. I know that taking that much vicodin and percocet is not good at all for my liver. I take 40 mg of prozac as well for an antidepressant. $0 mg of oxycodone twice a day, sometimes only once, relieves my painto a tolerant level and produces no side effects. However, when I mentioned this to my doctor, he is reluctant to prescribe it. I have since been to a pain management clinic, where I now getting injections in my lower facets every six months. This is a big help, and has made a lot of difference, but I would still rather take 1 dose of oxycodone and not have to take all of the other stuff at all, with the exception of my antidepressant. My friends and family tell me to go to a certain doctor that will prescribe it, but I don't feel comfortable doing this, nor do I think it is morally the right thing to do. I know what works best for me and my body, what am I not seeing or understanding to get the medication I want from my doctors?

Oxycodone?
Need ID of a pill? May be a type of Oxycondone or Oxycotine. It's white, small, round, non coated tablet, with a #10 on one side and a F/L on the other, except the line is straight, not slanted through the two letters? Bad Car Wreck, could be pain, anti-depressant, or muscle relaxant. Help needed ASAP.

My Story
I have had several major Orthopedic sugeries over the last 15 years. Also went through Chemotherapy treatments.I have sever dibilitating both Ostea-Rhematoid athritis ,because of all the surgeries. When I was younger I was very healthy.Over the years my heath has declined dramatically.I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be in this condition.Unfortunately,I now read all the stories of abuse, and needless fatalities.I find that good honest doctors, are very concerned about this,(with good cause),and are very cautious in providing the neccessesary pain treatment needed for their patients because of the abuse. It has come to the point that a patient in moderate to sever chronic pain has to spend1 to 2 years minimum in aquiring the trust to even begin a good Doctor patient relationship. Then, and only then can chronic pain patients get the right treatment regiment that inprooves their quality of life.I say all this because I feel so sad that it has come down to this, because there are many people suffering for months, and even years, that absolutely need immeadiate relief.I hope in the future that everyone in need of immeadiate treatment from ANY Chronic Disease can get diagnost in a timely matter without falling into the bottomless pit of hopelesness, and NOT have the meds. that are desperately needed taken away. From patients of addiction that need suboxone, and methadone to the sever chronic pain patients that need both strong instint, and long acting meds, and every patient in between. With honesty, and good communication to our Doctors, may they all get the help they need, and not have to suffer anymore for not even a day,and be able to ethically, clinically get the Meds they need, and be a funtionable, respected, productive person no matter the severity of the case.I wish the best of health for us all in this NewYear. Sincerely,Paingot2go
