i am going to start taking this pill due to viral gastroenteritis. are there any of you all who have symptoms of loss of appetite or diarrhea?

I wouldn't even consider getting off of nexium. I hadn't heard the stomach thing. Are you sure thats true. Gerd can cause esphocial cancer so don't know which is worse. I have esphocial spasms and the pain mimicks a heart attack. Ended up in the ER twice thinking I was surely dying. I don't think I would get off

Nexium And Sluggish Bowel Syndrome
One important thing no one talks about is how nexium works on the sluggish bowel. Without the nexium and especially if you are taking other constipating medications, nexium helps to keep the bowel moving. I have evidence, as I have not had nexium for 2 months or more and I am in the most terrible pain. My prescription drug company will not approve my nexium and insists that omeprazole is the preferred choice. Who are they? Have they ever used the medicine?

I have GERD, suffer terrably bad.I've been cut off medicaid & I have not a cent to my name.My Dr. perscribed Nexium 4 me 4 about 2 yrs. now.I havn't had Nexium 4 about a year & suffer daily w/ GERD.Sometimes if my family has any extra change someone will buy me over the counter anti-acids for me which I'm very Greatful.this morn I sit here hurting sooo bad,then I remembered the old Baking Soda in the spice cabinet...It's not Nexium,but it helps...
