Sudden Withdrawal From Neurontin I have been taking 600 mg of Neurontin 4x a day for about 2 years and recentlty ran out of this medication due to excrutiating slow service from mandatory mail order RX company.... I was extremely agitated during this time (approx. 5 days), nervous, stressed out, etc. Has anyone else had these symptons as a result of sudden withdrawal from Neurontin? I can't understand why this happened, I felt so scared and lousy for that time. Is this a known reaction for this med? I haven't been able to find an answer. Neuratin/sinemet Ive just spoken to an 8o yr old lady who has been prescribed neurantin2 for restless leg syndrome. I am queering this as I am a huge suffer of RLS and sinemet is the more common med for this--then permax which are also for parkinsons . Neurontin I had been taking neurontin for numerous years with other medications. Neurontin was prescribed for me to help major depression ONLY. This medicine was added to my other medications to boost the other. I began falling and tripping etc. I went through numerous tests to see what the problem was. It took over 6 months to find out I was over medicated. Neurontin is for zeizures. There was a class action suit on this. Apparently the sales people were telling the doctors it could help with other conditions. The FDA only approved it for seizures. I was weined off of it and some other ones and do not fall etc. now. Side Effects Of Neurontin I was wondering if anyone has ever had any diabetic problems after using neurontin. I had to take it for nerve damage. I have never had any troubles with my blood sugar until after I stopped taking it. Now I have serious sugar problems. I am only 28 yrs old. My mother also had nerve damage in her arm and was also on it. After she stopped taking it, she started having extreme problems with her sugar. The thing that surprises me is that there is no history of diabetes in our family and suddenly we both end up with it within a year and shortly after stopping neurontin.
