Lipitor/memory Loss After two years on Lipitor my wife has a serious memory loss. Dr.'s can't explain it. I tell them I believe it's the Lipitor and they say it's not known to cause memory loss. Side Effects I been taking Lipitor 40 mg and decreased it to20mg.. I had terrible back pain for over a year. This past month I was put on a antibiotic called Ktek and the pharmacy told me to stop the Lipitor while on the Ketek. I did and guess what, my back pain is gone.
