It Is An Anthracycline Antibiotic, Closely Related To The Natural Product Daunomycin, And Like All Anthracyclines It Intercalates Dna. It Is Commonly Used In The Treatment Of A Wide Range Of Cancers, Including Hematological Malignancies, Many Types Of Carcinoma, And Soft Tissue Sarcomas.
