Dilaudid Sexual Side Effects (female)
Hi. I have been taking Dilaudid ER pills for several years now. I do not abuse them and take around 4 of the 8mg pills a day. I cannot find any information online regarding the sexual side effects that Dilaudid may have for females. It seems to be that reaching an orgasm is near impossible now... I am also on Opana so I am trying to figure out which is the culprit. Maybe they both are contributing factors but maybe there is information out there in the community that can help me. I have never had this problem before and it is frustrating me a lot. Any insight or advice would be appreciated.

Side Affects AFTER Tapering is over
I had an abdominal Hysterectomy Jan 28. Due to my super high tolerance of medications in general (not just the pain meds), It turned out to be a bit more complicated in the end, so when they sent me home on was on strict Bed-Rest for 8 1/2 weeks. And for the first six weeks I just took the Diluadid as directed (which worked out to be 72 mg/24 hour period. Then at six weeks, with the help of my doctor slowly weaned myself off of them. It took a couple of months to accomplish! My question now is (I took my last dose a week or so ago)...the two issues that I'm still really struggling with is Depression and bad anxiety, I do have a medication to help with the Anxiety...but it just makes me tired and lethargic. Which does nothing to help the Depression, so if it's been at least a week since I took any...why haven't those last two symptoms subsided yet? And how long should I expect them to hang around? Thanks for any help or ideas!

Hydromorphine 2 mg 1 or 2 every 8 hrs
Ive just started this medication yesterday. Ive had 4 since 6 pm last night. I have degenerative spine disease, Im in pain all the time. I was on MSIR 10mg. I was on 8-10 a day for three years. My new doctor has tried MESELON 30 mg, I hated them. Im now on these odd little pills and Im not impressed. I feel like Im on acid without the melting of things.. Im really irritated that this doctor switched me as the meds I was on were working just fine, Ide cut back to 6 a day if I was not in severe pain which is very rare. I would like to know if anyone else has had the same effect with Hydromorphine, its hard to describe, my mouth has a metallic taste to it, i feel very wishy washy, some pain is gone but its still there in areas. food and cigarettes taste diffrent even coffee

What is stronger Dilaudid or Oxycontin 40 mg.?
I have been on Dilaudid for over 2 years now and I can't seem to get off of it. I'm under a doctor's care, but anyone who is on it knows it's very addicting! I think like everybody else, it's no good if you take it orally. It's only effective other ways. I always run out of Dilaudid before my prescription is ready to refill and recently I bought some oxycontin 40 mg. to see if they could replace my 4 mg. Dilaudid. However, I did 1/2 of a 40 mg. and I felt nothing. An hour later I did my 4 mg. Dilaudid and really felt it. But they are very short lived, that's why for cronic pain they like to give these stupid time release pain pills. How many mg.'s does equal the same amount of dilaudid? I also would like to know if anyone has ever tapered off of Dilaudid? You get really sick when you try to get off of it, really intense vomiting and stomach pain that lasts forever. I have never stuck it out, I always end up in the emergency room. All they do is give me a pain shot of Dilaudid and a pre

Chronic Pain Pills
I am 43 of age and have suffered from chronic lower back pain and as such had to stop doing my daily chores. I usually hide in my house and spend my time on the internet. I found a website called findrxonline, which helped me find understanding doctors that prescribed drugs like hydrocodone/apap which helped a lot for me so now I've started to feel better. I am happy to share with other patients.

Weaning off Dilaudid
I have been taking 8 mgs. of Dilaudid 4 times a day for the last 6 months for a chronic illness. 3 months ago I had surgery to give some relief to my illness, and I have since found some stabilization to my symptoms. As such, my doctors want to wean me off of the Dilaudid. I am very nervous about the idea because I have noticed in the mornings (after not having the Dilaudid for 12 hours), I feel a bit anxious and I have joint and muscle aches and pains. Therefore, the first thing I do is take my Dilaudid. Currently to wean me off my doctor is suggesting that I taper back one pill a day (around lunchtime) each week so that I go from taking 8 4mg. tablets a day to taking one 4 mg. tablet a day. This process should take about one month to complete, and it truly frightens me. Do you have any advice?
