Ambien I'VE been taking ambien for abt 1month,I stop taken them,I gained weight abt 10lbs,reason why i would get up in the middle of night and eat,and had no clue i was doing that till my husband and niece told me i was eating asleep i did not believe then so they video tape me and yes i was doing that,so i stopped taken ambien and now i have to work on loosing my weight ..There was a report 2 days later about this on abc 7 people would wake up and find food on there bed .....this is the truth .. Reaction To Pink Coloring/coating? I have been using Ambien for 10 years, but only when I travel, as I have difficulty sleeping in hotel rooms. I am sensitive to many common chemicals and the hotel room cocktail prevents natural sleep. I usualy break a 10mg pill into half or even thirds and that's enough for me. I have never had any grogginess the next day. This year, I tried the new generic Ambien on two business trips and I was completely whacked out; 5 mg was enough to make me groggy all day, and it was cumulative. It was terrible. After 5 days, I could hardly talk. So my doc switched me back to regular Ambien, but 5 mg tabs ... which are pink just like the generic. On a trip this week, I took my last regular white Ambien the first night and I was in great shape. I took the pink Ambien the next night and I was a mess the next day. It affected me exactly like the generic one. So ... maybe it's not the drug itself but something inert in the dye or coating. Wonder if anyone else has any similar experience. Dough People who take too much Ambien may become excessively sleepy or even go into a light coma. The symptoms of overdose are more severe if the person is also taking other drugs that depress the central nervous system. Some cases of multiple overdose have been fatal. Drug Affecting Urinalysis For Drug Use I took a urinalysis today and take Ambien. I am on some cardiac medications, synthroid, oxybutinin, and lipitor. The test came back positive.
