Nitrazepa To Flunitrazepam

Having taken nitrazepam with no problems at all for 10 years and finding them a godsend when depression strikes. Have now moved to spain, am told they don't have nitrazepam and have been prescribed flunitrazepam, which i am VERY reluctant to take, mainly due to the anterograde amnesia which is a well known side effect. Any thoughts/ideas, anyone?? Would be grateful to hear from anyone else who´s made this change. Thanks and hope to hear from you asap.

I really wish I could help, but since other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the U.S. does, finding information on them is very difficult.

The only thing I can suggest is speaking to your doctor or pharmacist about your concerns.

The Rohypnol that your Dr gave you seems a poor substitute for the Nitrazepam. Certainly there have to be better ones? Perhaps Oxazepam , Lorazepam, Medazepam, Diazepam, etc?
Get a second Dr opinion...Rohypnol is big guns.

Try CLONAZEPAM (Konopin®), as it is a Nitrobenzodiazepine very similar to Nitrazepam, I live is the US, so I don't know what brand it is under is Spain, but I believe Spain does carry it. It's less sedating than Flunitrazepam, and is also similar, only Clonazepam is a Chlorinated-Nitrobenzodiazepine, where Flunitrazepam is a Fluorinated-Nitrobenzodiazpine. Those of Fluorine are more for sedation, and those for Chlorinated are more for tranquility. Both will help Anxiety and Sleep though and both are potent.

Tomo o Nitrazepam,a vários meses,5 mg/dia.Uma baixa dosagem,para o meu organismo.Já tenho apresentado um 'gosto amargo',ao acordar,e deve ser algo relacionado ao Fígado.As vezes ,tomo 1 comprimido de Prometazina de 25 mg,para tirar o 'sono atrasado',juntamente com 1 comprimido de Nitrazepam de 5 mg;pois apesar de ser um bom remédio e auxiliar a dormir,o Nitrazepam se acostuma,e passa a ter seu efeito diminuído.Só serve como 'indutor do sono'.Não adianta tomar para outras indicações.O Flunitrazapam (Rohypnol),é bem melhor e eficaz,para a indução do sono.Só não se deve sair de casa,após tomá-lo para dormir.Nitrazepam da mesma forma.Produz uma 'certa euforia,e depois vem o sono 'Flunitrazepam'.Se tomar,não deve sair de casa,pois parece que fica uma sensação de 'Embriaguês'.Não vejo problema em se trocar o Nitrazepam pelo Flunitrazepam.

Hi Benzoking I was given 14 teva nitrazepam with a date of September 2016 on them does that mean I can't take them do u think their still safe too take?? I'm bit worried their still in blister pack unopened...thanks...

I'm not a doctor, but I will tell you what my doctor told me when I asked him about expired medications. He said that most expired mess are good for at least two years after the experation date.. To be safe however I would call a pharmacist and ask him/her before taking the medication
