Endocet Vs Oxycodone (Page 8)

I HAVE BEEN ON OXYCODONE FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND MY DRUG STORE RAN OUT AND GAVE ME ENDOCET? SAID IT WAS THE SAME THING BUT MY BODY TELLS ME THAT IT'S NOT THE SAME. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS CHANGE?

Glad to hear ur finding some relief jennifer w. Isnt endocet Percocet w acetaminophen? Generic Percocet. ...anyway, needless to say, Acta"crap" hasnt called me back since I gave their rep an educational course about her employer. Lol. Ive been taking the mallinkrodt 10/325 still. Its ok, ten times better than actacrap.....it helps. but still nowhere near as affective as Watson. It took taking them consistently for awhile to get any pain relief. So whatever you all take next, try and stick with them for a bit to give ur bodies a chance to adapt.

It is the generic form of Percocet but it isn't nearly as effective as the oxycodone w/acetaminophen I was taking from Walgreens. I'm pretty sure they were from different manufacturers. Some work well with some people and some don't.

Ill bet my life u were on the watson generic oxycodone/acetaminophen. .. thats what I were on...they worked the best! Noone carries em anymore since Watson merged with actavis n they decided to use their crap!

They don't work as well, but they work (for me at least) better than the Endocet I'm getting from CVS. I have to take 2 to feel any relief. I guess we'll see how I feel when I take the oxycodone w/acetaminophen next week. There is a difference.. And for the people saying there isn't are *crazy!*

I think endocet is great! But it is hard to find. I'm on brand name now. Where do you find endocet? Sometimes they have it and sometimes they don't. I used to be on watson brand.

My pharmacy is CVS. I used the Watson brand for a really long time and they worked wonderfully. Then they switched and they didn't work AS well but they did take the pain away and I was still doing just fine. But the Endocet does not work for me unless I take double. And I'd rather not do that.. I only found this out when I was having a really bad back day and I took 2 before bed and I noticed the pain starting to subside a little over an hour later. I only take one (even though I don't notice a thing) during the day.

Jennifer w..mthey went from Watson's to actavis. The actavis is giving everyone problems n not giving any pain relief. ....r u saying the Actavis is helping w ur pain?

I'm not sure what Walgreens was giving me but it was working. I had to switch to CVS because of my insurance company.. And they gave me Endocet, I have no idea how they think that stuff works but it doesn't. I asked last week if they had anything other than Endocet and I picked up my prescription.. Oxycodone w/acetaminophen. Took one an hour or so ago and the pain is pretty much gone. I don't know who makes these.

That is what I am taking Jen W....here is the "link". It does not say who makes it though. The pharmacy substituted Endocet for this a couple of months ago and I found the Endocet did not help at all compared to this one. This is a white pill, score on one side and TEC on the other.

I'm confused. Isn't endocet oxycodone/acetaminophen. For the 10mg/325 is 8.9 active oxy. I am getting more relief from these. Got them from local pharm because walgreens an cvs in my area are only caring activis oxy. Which did absolutely nothing an caused me to have severe muscle pain in my arms. An I find that we can't get any info on what the ingredients are in activis. I wish watson would go back to there brand. I was able to take less and had longer time spand. I'm sure has to do with saving money.

Jenn w....your script bottle says the medicine inside is oxycodone/acetaminophen but doesn't say "generic for Percocet 10/325 with the manufacturers name on it? If not, could u call cvs and tell em u just got ur meds from them n ur bottle doesnt say who makes it so could they tell you? Im really curious as to what they are.

Dee are you using a small local pharmacy? That's where I got mine but they don't have them now. It is oxycodone and Tylenol 10/325. Mine are yellow and oblong. I like them a lot in comparison to Watson.

Just a tip that I found when I returned the Endocet, get them to put on your chart...no substitutes. I find they make different excuses as to why they don't have them but somehow they magically appear.
I just noticed the post I put on yesterday was submitted today. Click on the link. I am supposed to be getting Percocet and this is what I get. There definitely is a difference between Endocet and Oxycodone/oxycocete.

Mallinckrodt is who manufactured these oxycodone w/acetaminophen.. But that's through CVS.. I have no idea who does it through Walgreens when I went there a few months ago.

Bella it is a small local pharm. w/ my ins I usually pay $40 for my script at wall/cvs for acta/crap at local I'm suppose to pay $45. But at local he said ins didn't pay enough for endocet an had to pay $65. I hav to call ins. But btwn drug co. An ins it's all bunch crap how their messing with everyone's meds/health for mere sake of money.

I take it back.. I'd rather have the Endocet over the Mallinckrodt brand any day. That stuff makes me so nauseous. Will be going back to Endocet next month.

No Bella, Endocet did not even touch the pain. I do find the Oxycodone does make me sick to my stomach sometimes, but I try to make sure I have eaten something. I had them put no replacement for the Oxycodone. From what I understand it is all in the way you liver metabolizes meds. Everything works differently for each person so it is just a matter of finding what works for you and sticking to it. I am glad the Endocet works for you. :-)
