Since it is not a Benzo, I would not think it would show up, the ones that would are pills such as Klonpin, Xanax, Valium and etc.

On that one, I have no idea. If you are taking it and it is prescribed for you, then you shouldn't have to worry about it.

yes, Ambien shows up in a drug test as a Benzo, at least the tests that are sent to labs anyway, not sure about the quick tests or over-the-counter tests. I am a patient at a methadone clinic and have failed drug tests for taking Ambien and Lunesta both, they show us as benzos.

Yes it will show up in a drug test. My sister went to prison for 10 months and is on probation for 3 years. She was having trouble sleeping after she got home and her doctor put her on something (can't recall the name) other than Ambien because it would have made her drug tests every month show a positive result.

"On that one, I have no idea. If you are taking it and it is prescribed for you, then you shouldn't have to worry about it" Verwon your answer has nothing to do with the question asked. im tired of reading idiotic responses like yours. to answer the QUESTION ASKED, yes ambien can cause a false positive for benzo's. if your prescribed to ambien be sure to have proof for who ever giving you the test. it is common knowlege that ambien cause false posiitives for benzos among parole and probation
