I'm sorry for your loss Ashley and I understand your trepidation regarding withdrawals. Just know that if you wean yourself off of this drug SLOWLY you can do this with little discomfort. The fact is that us addicts are big babies when it comes to pain and discomfort. I just decided that if I experienced minor withdrawals then that was my penance for being so stupid and getting myself in this mess in the first place. Please see my posts on this page. I discuss how I weaned myself off and my withdrawal symptoms were quite minor. And please remember that you truly are a lot stronger than you think. Good luck and keep me posted :-)

Hey Skublu. Just want you to know that I'm pulling for you on my end as well girl. I was blessed to have ppl in treatment tell me DO NOT LEAVE HERE ON SUBOXONE! I was warned about how the withdrawals can be worse than the Oxy and methadone. I'm thankful to be on something that will get me off safely.

Hi Ashley, thanks so much! What's going on with you? I was able to get subutex from my doc yesterday so I'm hoping it works the same as the suboxone. the zubsolv really didn't do much for me unless I took a lot more than I was suppose to.

Hi Ashley, I just read all of the stream. You're on the Zubsolv. I'm happy it's working for you. I was taking the Suboxone since 2008 and when I switched to Zubs bc of ins it was awful!!! So I ended up back on the Suboxone. Now going to get the Subutex filled today. I hope I'm not getting something else that doesn't work like the Zubs. The Subutex is a lot cheaper. I saw that you're off methadone and xanax too. That's amazing girl!!! I was on Methadone for 2 years a few years back and I loved it. It was so much better than running around and keeping up with 30 vicodin a day,. I was able to wean down in the clinic and get off. It seemed easier than this buph that's for sure. When I stopped the methadone I ended up on H. The clinic was not a good place for me. You hang in there, Ashley! My thoughts and prayers are with you <3

I have been on the film for 2 years. I recently got switched to subsolv 2 weeks ago. My opinion is the films work much better for me. I have to take atleast 4 to 4.5 subsolv 5.7/1.4mg tablets to get the same from 3 films 8/4 I am now going to get my doctor to up the dose of subsolv 42 tablets every 2 weeks to 56 tablets every two weeks. Or i will have to resort back to the films paying out of pocket or buying off the street the days i run short till i get back to the doctor to get my refill

Hello Austin. Sounds like you have been taking a very large amount of this drug for many years (since 2008). I would highly advise you to start decreasing your dosage NOW. I realize the insurance thing is a severe issue but it is easier to decrease your dosage with the film, though it can be done with the Zub pills. Because of the large amount you are taking, you have quite a buildup in your system so decreasing extremely slowly will be the key. Decrease by 1/4 mg and if that's too much drop it down to an 1/8 of a mg. Good luck to you!!!

I HATE Zubsolv. I had only been on Suboxone for five months after being addicted methadone for 16 years. The Suboxone worked great. I had hope for the first time in a long time. Then my insurance switched me to Zubsolv. It is terrible. First of all, I couldn't find a pharmacy that stocks it and had to wait on the pharmacy to order them. I have had leg cramps, insomnia, mild diarrhea, and the most awful headache ever. This is a joke compared to Suboxone. I can't afford to buy Suboxone and my insurance will only pay for Zubsolv. I am just about ready to go back to the methadone clinic because the Zubsolv is awful.

Hi everyone. I have been on Zubsolv for 2 months but can not afford to stay in the program I have been in. I have tapered down to half a 5.7 tab once a day. I have been at that dose comfortably for a week now. I have 60 whole tabs, but no way to get a script for the lower dose zubs. So I must taper by splitting those tiny soft pills. I am worried I won't be able to dose them small enough for a successful taper. Has anyone tapered successfully using the 5.7 mg tabs. Any advice?

Hi all. I read y'all stories. mine is very similar. Neck injury in 07. was on morphine and 30 mg. oxycodone dr. retired and i moved to st. louis to be close to sick dad. long story short i now have no ins. i work when pain allows. have been maintaining with H. cannot find a dr who will see me much less help me. Sub dr. Is full! All i want is to live a normal life again.i am seriously considering suicide because i see no way out. so when you think you're meds arent strong enough remember it could be worse! at least you have Something! Just saying i pray everyday for suboxone or whatever would help. thanks.

Hey its been a while since you're post so I hope you see this. I'm going through the exact same thing. I have been on 8mg generic bupes /suboxone for the past almost 5 years. Have gone back and forth between the two depending on my ever changing ins situation. Today is Tuesday and I was put on Zubsolve this past Friday. I went in already sick because I had finished mine too early, took 3 the first day to even out and one a day since, but have yet to feel anything close to what the bupes or subs did for me. No I don't have horrible physical wds, but just overall depressed and no desire to work at all. I'm reading all this and it's obvious to me it's not just in my head. Did you ever find a solution? It's also very obvious to my why everyone's ins stopped paying for anything 8mg and are saying to people saying 5.7 is the same, when in fact, as u stated, it's impossible. It's not the same. Would be happy to share that if you see this at all and wish to know. I know alot about big pharma and how they work. Anyhow, if you by any chance live in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex in TX, I would be happy to give you my docs name. He will prescribe with 2 month refills after he relizes you're there and stable and not a drug seeking crazy patient. He will also prescribe you whatever you prefer whether it be Suboxone or generic subutex, at whatever milligram you choose. Just be prepared to pay cash if it's anything higher than 5.7 mg Zubsolve.

I just filled a free sample 15 of the zubsolv. I have been on the 8mg 3x a day of generic subutex for past 4 years. So this is end of my first day taking this zubsolv and feel like a truck hit me and left me for dead. About 20 min after taking the first dose I started to develop a headache so intense it felt like a brain freeze. Waiting for the medication to take effect... Waiting.... Nothing. Took another one at which point I felt okay but not anything like when I take the subutex. My entire body hurts, especially large muscles (back, legs, shoulders). I have had heart palpitations and horrible anxiety. I've had this weepy feeling like I'm going to burst into tears at any moment. My legs are restless and hands have been shaky, trembling. Seriously, if I didn't know better I would think I was in the early stages of opioid withdrawal! So, after doing some independent research Ive come to the following conclusion: The manufacturer of Zubsolv, in an attempt to formulate and market a medication to compete with suboxone, has reduced the amount of active ingredient (buprenorphine) to cut production cost thereby making the medication cheaper for the consumer than suboxone and increasing their profit margins. 5.7 mg sublingual does not = 8 mg sublingual, I mean, it just doesn't!

5.7mg of Zubsolv is said to be the equivalent to 8 mg of Suboxone or so they say. The bioabsorbtion of subsolv is better therefore you don't need the full 8mg. I was on sub's for three years when insurance cut them out and would only cover the Zubsolv. Luckily I tolerated them well and began the taper. Started at three 5.7mg per day then dropped to two 5.7mg during day and a half of the 5.7 at night. I worked a 25% taper ever two weeks. So ever two weeks I cut the dose by 25% down to .7 per day for two weeks. This is were is gets a little rough but tolerated. Dropped off Wednesday morning took the last .7 and have not taken it since been about 40 hours and the last 30 have been rough sweating, runny nose, the whole withdrawal thing we all know and have lived thru many times. I don't feel miserable and I think I can pull it off will keep everyone posted. I will say this taper with the advice of your doctor I have learned what woks for one my not work for you so use your doctor if you decide to taper. Thanks for listening

Yes Joey! Thank you for checking up on me. I took my last tiny dose on November 2nd. My symptoms weren't that bad. Lethargy, RLS, a little depression, etc. It was uncomfortable but very manageable though and being free of that awful drug is AMAZING. I will never put myself in that position again. In fact, when I've gotten a headache I will literally ask myself if I really need to take an aspirin. I just don't want to ingest any drug unless I truly need it. I feel great! How are you doing this holiday season?
