What Marking Appears On An Allopurinol Tablet

I have a white tablet approximately the size of a dime but thicker. It is marked M 71. There is a "V" shaped groove on the tablet between the M and the 71, I believe it is Allopurinol. Can you confirm?

That is correct, this tablet contains 300mgs of Allopurinol, which is most commonly used to treat excess uric acid.
