I TOOK REDOTEX ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. I WAS A SIZE 26/28 AND WENT TO A SIZE 16/18 WITHIN A FEW MONTHS-I STOPPED TAKING THE MED..AND NOW i AM BACK TO 26/28! HONESTLY I DO NOT KNOW WHY I EVER STOPPED I FELT REALLY GOOD WHEN I DID-I AM GOING BACK ON IT NOW.

Oh, I forgot to mention my diet and the dosage. I take 1 pill every morning at least 15 min before breakfast. The pill does take away some of your appetite but enough to control your portions. For breakfast I eat fruit with yogurt and granola or peaches with cottage cheese or oatmeal. For lunch I eat some type of salad with chicken breast or steak or soup and for dinner I have something small like cereal. You can eat whatever you want and you'll still lose weight but it will take a lot longer if you eat foods high in fat and carbs. I haven't experienced any side effects other than a real dry mouth if I don't drink a lot of water. I don't recommend taking a pill if your going to drink alcoholic beverages that day because it will dehydrate you. I can't stress enough that you have to eat regularly and stay hydrated because then you will have side effects. I know a dozen people who have taken Redotex of and on for several years and none of them have ever been sick or had bad side effects as long as they followed the recommended dosage and the rules behind taking it. I Mexican doctor that is a freind of mine gives these to patients who wish to lose weight on the condition that they follow his instructions. If he see's someone abusing the drug he will withdraw them from it. You can't buy these pills in Tijuana without a doctors presciption. If it is sold to you by a unreputable pharmacy beware of the consequences because it may not be Redotex. This product is made by Productos Medix in Mexico City. If it is not made by this company, don't buy it. The pill has tiny encapsulated black, pink, and white balls. Oh, and try take these 4 weeks on and 1 week off if you can. You get the feel of it and they are not physically addictive. Maybe mentally because you know they work. I hope this helps those who are trying to lose weight but can't lose more than 10 lbs.

I'm a 32 year old male 5'-9. I was about 25-30 lbs. over weight. I don't have much time to exercise and I had a hard time losing weight by dieting. I needed something that would give me a jump start to losing 25-30 pounds. A friend told me about Redotex purchased in Tijuana Mex. I began taking it a week and a half ago and I went from 203 to 190 so far. All this talk about this drug being outlawed in the U.S is BS. Yeah maybe it's not that good for you if you abuse it like any other drug. But if you drink plenty of water and eat regular low fat meals the results are great. I think these drugs are outlawed in the U.S. because they work. The doctor's Pharmacudical company's want you to keep coming back to see them so they can make more money. Why would would they want to give you a drug that works. Of course some people abuse these type of drugs which causes other people to beleive that it's bad. There are a lot of other things that we ingest that are worse for our bodies that are legal such as liquor, tabacco, and fast food. Why aren't these things outlawed? Because they make these company's rich. Anyhow, if you repect the dosage and follow a balanced healthy diet and drink lots of water, these pills will help you get over your threshold. You may feel like you drank several cups of coffee for the first 2 days but after your get over that, you don't feel anything but a boost of energy everyday.For all of you who beleive everything the FDA says keep your comments to yourself unless your tried the drug yourself.

I have heard that Redotex can have serious side effects. I took the pills off and on for 2 years and I went from a hefty size 14 ( 170lbs) to a petite size 6 (130lbs). I would stop taking the pills to minimize the potential dangers/harm to my body. This is a controlled substance in Mexico and needs a dr's RX in order to obtain. I am now taking phentermine (acxion) if this does not give me the results I need I will go back to Redotex, it has been a few years since I have taken it.

This drug, however, is still available in Mexico, as well as several other countries, so unfortunately, those who self-medicate, for whatever reason they are doing so, can pick it up there very cheaply. In most cases, you can get away with carrying small amounts, around 3 months worth or less, of a drug into the US, without having it seized or questioned by customs.

Customs agents are not trained to keep track of which drugs are or are not legal in the US, and if someone shows them a label that looks like the med was prescribed for them, they have no way of knowing if that is true or not.

The one thing I can say about this med, is since it was outlawed in the US, then it obviously has some severe dangers involved in using it, the FDA does not pull meds off the market without good reason.

My recommendation would be to see your doctor and get something safer to use if you are concerned about losing weight.

The fact that you don't know what this med is for, or how to take them, just gives away the fact that you did not receive them from a doctor and should not be trying to use them.

WELL THIS IS A DIET PILL THAT WAS TAKING OF THE MARKET IN TH U.S. BACK IN 1989 FOR THE REASON THAT IT WAS HURTING EITHER UR LUNGS ECT. IT HAS A LAXITIVE IN IT AND WAS KNOWN TO HELP YOU LOSE UP TO 6 LBS A WEEK,WAS RX FOR THE OVER WEIGHT PEOPLE(OB)
