My mom gets heart pain and she is given Monotrate 10 (to be taken at breakfast and again during lunch). Along with that she is also given clopitab - A 75 (to be taken in the afternoon) and Modlip-10 (to be taken at night). She have some side effects like dizziness, severe headache and burning in heart. Are these effects of any concern or are they normal.

Are you referring to isosorbide mononitrate 10 perhaps? If so, side effects like the ones you mentioned have been reported. I've read that most nitrate medications can cause headaches because they increase pressure in the blood vessels of the brain-which causes pressure- then headaches.
If any side effects are severe, it is important to speak with a physician about other options- unless the benefits somehow outweigh the painful side effects.
In regards to Modlip, it contains the active ingredient Simvastatin. Some of the most commonly experienced side effects of this medication include: nausea, headache, dizziness and diarrhea. Therefore, the combination of these medications could be what's making the side effects severe.
