Since I have been on generic Plavix (apo-clopidogrel) I have noticed that my bleeding time is almost normal and not long as it was when I took Plavix. Dosage is 75mg a day. This worries me because I have a cardiac stent and don't think that my blood should clot this fast with this drug. ## There can sometimes be some minor fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient in a generic medication. Learn more APO Clopidogrel details here. What has your doctor said about it? What has the clotting time been? ## Going to see my GP next week-will let you know the results. ## My doctor put me back on Plavix.

My husband had undergone angioplasty 10 months ago. He has been prescribed Cardace 10 mg, clopilet 75 mg, ecosprin 150 mg, covance D, rosuvas 20 and amlopres AT. How long should he continue with all these medicines. Is it ok if he takes either ecosprin or clopilet as in my opinion both these medicines are for thinning of blood. Please suggest. ## First, I would like to state that this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly suggest any changes or duration to his use of these medications. How long he needs to use them is something he will need to discuss with his doctor, it may even need to be a lifelong thing, but only they can decide that. Now, there is probably a reason that his doctor has him on both the Clopilet, which contains Clopidogrel and the Ecosprin, which co...

what other types of drugs is there to take instead of warfrin. Mom was off warfrin for 5 days and the swelling and the purple toe syndrome went away, back on warfrin and her feet swell and are purple and she cannot walk. We do not want to have needles ## Has she consulted her doctor? Any change to medications, in this case, must be done very carefully, because it may cause a rebound effect, which could result in dangerous blood clotting. Thus, her doctor needs to be involved. If they are available, she may be able to use a combination of Clopidogrel and Aspirin to achieve the same results, so you may want to consult her doctor about them.

my 82 yr oid aunt was told to take warfen cause she has iregular heart beat but she will not go on it. ## Has she discussed it with her doctor and told him that she doesn't want to take it? It is often given, in such cases, as a precautionary measure to prevent blood clots. Has she said why she doesn't want to take it? There are other options available on the market, which ones depends on where you are located, but many people have had better results with Clopidogrel.
