I have been prescribed by the Professor of Psychiatry to take Deanxit and Anxit Plus for 3 months as I am having sleepless nights and anxiety for not having sleep.Please let me know whether it is harmful or not or are there any bad effects of having the same.

Deanxit contains the active ingredients Flupentixol and Melitracen, which are two antidepressants.

Anxit Plus contains Alprazolam and Sertraline, it is most commonly used to treat anxiety.

I am having sleepless nights for the last one month and as a result I am having anxiety and some sort of depression for nat having sleep. It always stays in my mind that if I do not have sleep again. This has become a nightmare to me. At present I have been prescribed with DEANXIT in the morning after breakfast and after dinner ANXIT PLUS for threee months. Can you please let me know whether the prescribed drugs are ok or else can you suggest some medicines or treatment for the same for which I will remain ever grateful to you.
