richard there has been recalls from k v pharmicetiucals on 60 to 70 generic pain meds, an oxycodone 1 of them, houston area have been swamped with fake chinese placebos, fda told all major pharm. that there was a huge demand for generic ingreindeints an low number of medications to fill market so they made meds, with whatever they could find , in some cases meds were oversized by twice amount an some people od ed, some cases there was nothing but inert matter they playing brain game they give you placebo an expect your body to be satified, suggest you call fda an file complaint

i have been on oxycodone 15mg tab for 2 and a half years. suddenly there is a wide spread shortage and there are NONE to be found ANYWHERE ! after hours of searching, {with no help from my dr.} i finally found a pharmacy that had enough 30mg tablets to fill my march script. i need to refill again on april 5 but i am so worried there won't be any ! what other good chronic pain meds are equivilent to the oxycodone ?? i need to be able to function during the daytime. what should i ask my dr. to prescribe in case oxy's are stillin short supply ???

Ethex Pharmaceuticals has also had to recall many of their generic medications recently due to quality control problems, so the supply on the market is short right now.

Only your doctor can suggest an alternative, but you might want to all them early to discuss it, before you are actually out of your medication.

This whole thing has been a nightmare. Almost as bad as the car crash that got me involved with the meds in the first place!
I have been unable to fill a prescription for my 30 mgs for over 3 months, and now I am a living, breathing guinea pig. My doctor has tried Opana, (NO good for me, some find it helpful) and now Dilaudid, 4mgs. My body is used to (for 8+ yrs now) the Oxycodone..and now I am just waiting, and hoping that they come back. Nothing is really working, and my spine is twisting up and stressing horribly for it. I live in Co. Im unsure if the problem is worse, or better here.
I heard that they will be back on the market sometime around the end of May. The day cannot come sooner for me.
Thank you for your time.

The name brand should still be available, though I don't know if you have insurance or not, it is quite expensive.

im sam and im a pharm tech in fl
we just got word not long ago about this manufacturer recall, however, not every time that we say "we dont have any" means "we dont have any"
if the script is from a doctor that the pharmacist does not know or trust, or if that doctor is under investigation, the pharmacist has the right to decline to fill the script. it is their license to lose, so feeding drug addictions is an easy way to lose a PharmD. That doesnt mean we judge people, but if scripts are obviously computer generated or from a different county, we usually will not fill them. Right now, though, we have no oxycodone 30 mg in stock ;D

I am in the Atlanta GA area and while I only take the 15mg tablets (120 every two weeks) I know of at least 3 pharmacies that I have never had a problem filling at...

People get prescriptions overseas all the time. Most of the BEST pharmacy's REQUIRE a hand written script from your doctor. I would be suprised if you were unable to get it in another state. Call around to the major chain pharmacy's first. Worst case senario, you'll have to do it online. Hope this helps.

you can not fill a doctor's script from one state to another unless that doctor has a liscense to do business or write spcipts for the other state.

Verwon - Hi, are you saying that Purdue is thinking about bringing back the OC's? Maybe I just misunderstood. I have NEVER heard of generic oxy's of any milagram. Thanks.
