Seroquell Side Effects In Children

My son has been diagnosed with ADHD and OCD. He tried Zoloft and it was like someone shot him full of speed. My doctor and I discussed the possiblity he could be bipolar. He first tried him on Abilify. After two pills, he went into a manic episode so we took him off the meds. We then tried Seroquell. He took half of a 25 mg pill within two hours he was so drowsy he could not keep his head up. The next day, he was very tired and complained of headaches. He developed diarrhea. We went to the movie theater and go very upset. He was scared of the movie and wanted to leave. He sat by a big man and it made him very nervous. We had to get up and leave because he was so upset. These are not normal behaviors for him. Can he get like this after one dose of Seroquell?

My daughter-in-law has been diagnosed bi-polar and doesn't have any insurance and as we all know, when money is short, we as moms take the end of the line. When in fact, she needs to spend the money for the rest of the families sanity. Any direction you all can provide, will be greatly appreciated.

Clonidine And Risperdal

My daughter is 7 years old and has been on Focalin 15 mg for almost a year, she has been taking it at 8 am and 2 pm and today the Doctor started a new schedule. She now has to take Focalin at 8 am and two new medications. She has to take Clonidine .1 mg either 1/4 or 1/2 at 4 pm and they said it will make her drowsy. The other medication is Risperdal 1mg but 1/2 a pill at night which also puts her to sleep. She has ADHD and severe Oppositional Difiant Disorder, do you believe that much medication is proper or do you recommend getting a second opinion? She is also having anxiety and depression symptoms do you believe that this mixture of medications could hurt her? Does anyone know any great psychiatrists in the Dallas/DFW area that they would recommend?

In the past three days my 70 year old mother has showed mildly increasing signs of paranoia. This was only after having her Risperdal medication reduced three weeks ago per FDA law for nursing home patients. How is this FDA law in her best interest?

what are the side affects of risperdol. My dr has me on risperdol for insomnia. He took me off rispersol due to being drowsy during the day. Now I'm haveing withdrawal symptoms. Has anyone had simular reactions.

Is anyone else experiencing weight gain from seroquel? I still work out the same as always, and eat the same way, but I have gained over 20 pounds since i started seroquel 2 months ago. I dont want to stop taking it becasue i finally found a drug that helps, but this is an unacceptable side effect to me, anyone have any tips for dealing with this?
