It Is Most Often Used As Part Of A Synergistic Combination With Trimethoprim In A 5:1 Ratio In Co-trimoxazole, Which Is Also Known As Bactrim, Septrin, Or Septra (also Abbreviated Smx/tmp). Its Primary Activity Is Against Susceptible Forms Of Streptococcus, Staphylococcus Aureus, Escherichia Coli, Haemophilus Influenzae, And Oral Anaerobes. It Is Commonly Used To Treat Urinary Tract Infections. In Addition Can Be Used ...

Bactrim Question
I've taken Bactrim in the past (15 yrs. ago) with no problem. Is it likely that I can take it now with no problems? I suspect a UTI and don't like the Mono/Mac that was prescribed and need another medicine.

Bactrim Side Effects
I am curious if anyone else has had any of these side effects from taking bactrim. My mouth is so swollen with blisters all inside my mouth.....now it has started to affect my private area as well with same symptoms. I cant eat and it burns all day long. I only took 4 pills when this started. Please help if you can.

can bactrim be sued in treating tonsillitis. I was given a prescription at an urgent care clinic for tonsillitis but have only used this in the past for urinary tract infections.
